Consultants and Developers

Using Sustainability Works 2005 to meet the needs of your public sector clients

For architects, surveyors and other consultants working on housing projects, as well as housing developers and contractors

This 1/2 day hands on course will give you a general introduction to the topic of sustainable development. It will outline the UK scenario, telling you about the relevant guidance, legislation and regulation affecting your work. It includes:

  • an introduction to public sector housing sustainable development requirements
  • using “project writer” to produce a sustainable development brief for individual projects
  • producing a sustainability statement, suitable for planning application submissions
  • using SW 2005 to predict BRE EcoHomes ratings, as required increasingly by regulators and funders

The session will be in a small group, led by one of our sustainable development experts. As well as demonstration sessions led by one of our team, you will have a chance to use the software first hand in our computer suite. The session gives you a chance to network and share your experiences with other architects, surveyors, housing developers, contractors and project managers as well as direct access to our team of sustainable development experts, who will be able to answer your questions.
